Plovdiv has a personal of its own that is fun and effortlessly if you where to describe the city as a person it would be that person that always knows the secret cool spots calm with a vintage look they would be that old soul with a youthful spirit. 

If you are a creative you would want to start of your journey in Kapana the name translates to “ The Trap” because once you enter this maze of pedestrian streets draped in bunting and fairy lights, you won’t want to leave. You could literally find yourself in ceramics tiny boutiques whilst trying to find cafes that are Pinterest-perfect.

Plovdiv has a modern city built directly on top of ancient Philippopolis, you can literally look down through glass railings and see a 2nd-century Roman Stadium sitting right under the shops that’s why it has a old soul with the youthful spirit.

1. Older than Rome and Athens, it is widely considered the oldest lived in Europe dating back to 6,000 BC so when you are walking on the streets just know you are walking on centres of history.

2.The city of seven hills, Just like Rome, Plovdiv was built on seven syenite hills. Today, only six remain because one was literally mined for its stone to pave the city’s streets in the early 20th century

3.The Stadium of Milyo, this was a stadium built of a local town joker, a bronze stadium of a man with his arms to his ear. Legend has it if you whisper a wish to his ear it would come true. So what you waiting for go and make you wish.
